Diamond Pet Salon
For this Project, the task was to re-design the existing visual identity of a local pet groomer called Diamond Pet Salon. In addition to the rebrand, I was asked to create a marketing campaign that emulates their new visual identity. The Deliverables for this project included a logo, postcard, billboard, full page print ad, and responsive website for the company.
The primary logo for Diamond Pet Salon consists of a word mark and Pictorial logo combo. The wordmark, A slightly edited version of the typeface Reross Quadratic, compliments the geometric vector style of the pictorial logo. A diamond shape, a nod to the name of the salon, and a dog’s nose and mouth are the main components of the pictorial logo. Serving as the primary logo when acting alone, this logo serves as a great example of the suite’s responsiveness when used in tight spaces like the mobile website.
Pulling form the original logo, a gradient felt like a fitting element to give the postcard a familiar feel. It was important to establish brand loyalty with this postcard, so the message became very important. This was also the first appearance of one of the two main dog models chosen to act as brand ambassadors for the salon.
The first official appearance of our second brand ambassador is seen with the print ad. Inspired by the box the dog was posed on and his adorable charm, the print ad basically designed itself. The box made for a great canvas for the headline, giving it the contrast it needed to pop off of the page. Access to information was important for the print ad so, similarly to the postcard, a general description of services became a key element. Another key element to tie everything in the ad together is the sparkle vector element included throughout the ad suite and logo design.
